I’m tired, and a feeling a bit lazy.  So tonight is bullet point list:

  1. I am taking a day off from work.  Thankfully!  The last couple of weeks have been extremely busy with some long hours.  I’m worn out.
  2. Interviewing is hard work for both the employer and prospective employees.  We had several fabulous candidates to choose from and hopefully those we chose will accept.  It’s hard making decisions about who to bring on at times.
  3. I’m tired. I think I already mentioned that.
  4. I’m hoping to have a budget worksheet up by the end of the weekend.
  5. I’m hardcore about you not buying into the debt mentality.  I may even talk hardcore about how you should get out of debt.
  6. I think churches make huge financial mistakes by borrowing money… Doh… did I just tick you off?
  7. Let me try that again.  I think it’s STUPID for churches to borrow money… Hope I wasn’t unclear.
  8. I’ll post some articles in the next week to back up why I believe 6 & 7. :-)  We can still disagree and get along.  It’s okay for you to be wrong.  Have you forgotten that the borrower is slave to the lender?  I’ve searched high and low and can’t find any exceptions to that statement.
  9. Did you know that we’re in a recession?  You’d think it was the end of the world based on the way the talking heads of the mainstream media are babbling.  Sadly, this could be a very tough time for some of you.  If you’re struggling financially then I feel for you.  I know what it’s like to struggle.  Here’s the scoop.  Let your pain force you to think about what decisions brought you to where you are.  Once you’ve identified those decisions decide to take definite, realistic steps to get out of your mess.  Determine that you will never make those kinds of stupid decisions again.  It takes hard work to clean up financial and most other messes.  Here’s the thing. You can do it!  You need to choose to make different decisions in the future.  Such as, live on less than you make and learn something you don’t currently know so that you can make more money.
  10. I hate the fact that some people dread picking up the phone because it may be a bill collector.
  11. I hate the fact that so many people are stuck in debt.  Literally held in bondage to it.  Working solely to pay off creditors.  Sometimes wondering where the next meal will come from.
  12. I hate debt.  I don’t even really like mortgages… I tolerate their existence.  Did you know that Americans owe somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 Trillion dollars in mortgages.  You heard me right.  Trillion.  With a freaking capital T.  We could change the world if we weren’t up to our ears in mortgage debt.  Unbelievable.
  13. I’m tired.  I’m finished ranting.
  14. If you’re broke and want help you’re in the right place.
  15. If you’re broke and think it’s a fabulous idea, you may want to go read another blog.  Because I don’t do debt.

I don’t hate people who borrow money or think it’s a good idea.  I personally believe that they are ignorant, don’t know any better or like to play with snakes and fire.  If it’s the latter, then they are being stupid.  Eventually the snakes bite and the fire burns.  I’m here to encourage those of you who want to get out of debt, educate those who are ignorant or don’t know any better and smack the snot out of those who think being in debt is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
