You may be getting tired of all this relationship stuff.  Well, bear with me for one more post after this one and we’ll get back to money matters and life.  Why am I spending so much time on this?  Because success in life is not solely measured by the size of your bank account.  It’s measured by your relationships, quality of life, what you’ve done to improve other’s lives, many other things and then, finally, possibly wealth. 

Many people will consider marriage at one point or another through life.  Choosing wisely will give you a much better chance at having a long term successful relationship which typically will encourage success throughout the rest of your life.

Today is about interests.  As with many of our other discussions you don’t need to match 100% but you need to have a high enough ratio in order to make a great match.  My guess is that 7 out of 10 interests should to be similar and 3 out of 10 is too low.  Maybe someone has done a study on this… if so please let me know!

1. Are you an outdoor or indoor person?
2. Do you like to exercise or are you a couch potato?
3. What kind of exercise do you enjoy? swimming, biking, running, roller blading, etc?
4. Do you like to work out with a partner? or alone?
5. Would you prefer to cuddle up with a good book or the television?
6. Do you like both depending on the evening?
7. Or perhaps your sweetie?
8. Do you like to eat out every meal? 
9. Do you like to cook your own meals?
10. Do you enjoy spending time with friends? or alone?
11. Do you like to travel?  overseas? adventure trips?  hiking trips?
12. Theme parks or camping?
13. Fishing, hunting, etc?

Take some time to think about your likes, dislikes, and preferences.  Examine your relationship to determine if you have enough in common.  Having some differences is a good thing.  Too many differences while initially exciting and energizing will likely degenerate into conflict at some point and leave you wondering what you got yourself into.  Think about it. Talk about it.  It’s your call, you decide!
