I thought I was one of the few out there who actually thought like this! The 'doom & gloom' talking-heads have a job to do: they get paid to spread panic and fear! Does anybody tune into good news on a regular basis? Good news is the punch line at the end of a news broadcast! Personal responsibility is the key to success. Is it hard? Absolutely! Personally, without much college education, but having a marketable skill (which just happens to feed off of people's fears, but business and ethics are contrary ideologies) has allowed me to get rid of debt, further educate myself to have the creds that go along with a marketable skill and living in the present are contributing factors to my own 'American Dream.' More people need to realize that they can stop being affraid and start living. If they fear the economic conditions now, all they have to do is look at the past to see that we got out of the Great Depression and have been living through some very prosperous times.
